While the concept is interesting, wouldn't it be a turn off to pay without being sure you will get money in the end? What if people want to help but aren't really influencial? Some people do their best to help and be supportive on all these platforms but don't get upvoted a lot, or just receive one reply from the author of the post… Wouldn't it cause some kind of fights for visibility?
Good question. One of the things we've done is build it so you can't post a status/photo/video to build a following that way. All you can do is post either a question or a discussion topic, or comment on/answer one of those.
So far this has meant that the influencer-types haven't taken all the credit and all the money, and that the points you generate are all about how useful your answers are in the context of the discussion/question. We're going to keep monitoring this and make adjustments where necessary, but right now we're happy with the balance.
I gave it a go, don't know the rules of soccer and wasn't sure what I was supposed to answer. Is the VAR always right? Or is the aim of the game to compare your vision to a bot's?
So VAR is not a bot, there is actually a person behind it. But the aim is basically to see if you would agree with their decision or not.
I will soon add some help page to help people understand the offside rule.
It makes me think of a sort social network for socially anxious people, or for people who actually only want to share stuff with their close friends. So actually this is quite different from everything else, I guess you wouldn't use it if your purpose is to have more likes, more connections, be more influencial…
Very interesting idea, why only on the AppStore?
Great idea, and particularly interesting in these times of corona. Is there a way when wandering in this virtual museum to make the pieces of art appear bigger?
I'm quite intrigued with this message system… So how does this work exactly? Do people know who send them a message? And how does it collect your information so send you confirmation that the message was sent?
Thank you for your feedback. People will know who sent the message. You will receive 3 confirm before sending the message.. at the moment there is not a read confirmation.. It could be the next feature :)
Well thought and designed! I'm just wondering how it exactly works, do you have to set things manually or does it have access to your data and is automatically managing your schedule, tasks, payments, passwords…? I reckon the idea itself is pretty interesting but I would fear relying on it too much and missing to type something if I have to use it manually, but I'd also fear relying on it too much and seeing it crash for one reason or another.
I personally think this was a very interesting reading, and after having tried multiple solutions for anxiety (prescribed pills, talk therapy, tips like focusing on our environment -- as explained in the highlighted paragraph), and being surrounded by people having also tried several solutions, it must be known that not everyone will react the same way to each of them.
While the content of this article will not make everyone agree, I think it's particularly important nowadays to pay attention to our mental health at least as much as we do to our physical health, and it's good to see this topic trending on HN.
