Recently, I bought one of the cheapo Amazon tablets to have a "beater" I didn't need to worry about.

Sure, the price was nice. But the full-page ad upon every lock screen, that is too easy to trigger into video play when trying to swipe to unlock, has rather put me off.

I won't be buying another Amazon tablet. And I'm glad I never got one of their phones -- I shudder to think.

It's my computer / tablet / phone / computing device. The more you work to make and demonstrate otherwise, the more I'm going to move away from you.

I just hope I keep having a choice. And I have to consider my individual role in making sure that is the case.
