Facts are outside the realm of humans, unreachable. Humans can only have observations, hearsay, and opinions about what the facts are. That's why we have scientific opinions and judicial opinions. A statistical analysis with a confidence interval or a p-value is a measurement of how strongly someone holds an opinion based on their observations.
