As an aside, "Tell me about a project that failed" is one of my favorite interview questions to ask. Failure is endemic in our industry. A candidate that only tells you about success isn't telling you their whole story.
And a candidate who talks about failures in terms of what everyone else did wrong, but never acknowledges any failures or learning experiences of their own, is telling you something important, too... they're telling you that either they never learn, or they don't tell you the whole story.
